Atomic Consultancy Celebrates First Multi-Million Pound Deal

It’s been an exciting year at Atomic Consultancy as we mark a huge milestone: completing our first multi-million-pound deal! We’re thrilled that this achievement comes with such a well-respected name in the UK property market—Miles and Barr.

Since we founded Atomic just three years ago, our mission has been simple: to help lettings and estate agents across the UK navigate the challenging process of selling their business with practical, honest, and affordable support. Today, our client list includes some of the biggest names in the industry, from Belvoir to Dexters, Connells to The Property Franchise Group, and now, Miles and Barr.

This latest deal involved finding the perfect match between Miles and Barr and Lomond, the UK’s leading acquirer of estate agency businesses. We’re especially proud of this achievement, as it also follows another recent success—the sale of Purplebricks’ Scottish lettings portfolio to Lomond, a transaction we facilitated earlier this year.

In just three short years, we’ve completed 97 deals, but this multi-million-pound transaction is a special highlight in our journey. Along the way, we’ve received over 100 five-star reviews from satisfied clients and were honoured with an ESTAS award two years in a row (2023 and 2024), placing us in the top 5% of suppliers within the estate agency sector.

Lucy Noonan, our founder and CEO, shares her thoughts on this milestone:

“We’re incredibly proud to have completed our first multi-million-pound deal, and it’s fitting that it should be with such a highly regarded brand like Miles and Barr. Reaching this point is a testament to the hard work our team has put in—it’s a significant milestone, and it shows the sector that we have the expertise to operate at the very top level. As an all-female team, this success feels even sweeter. We’ve certainly faced our share of sceptics, but with 97 deals completed in just three years, we know we’re making an impact”

We’re also grateful for the kind words from Mark Brooks, CEO of Miles & Barr, who said:

“Working with Lucy and her team has been a pleasure. They intuitively understood our mindset as sellers and provided invaluable advice, not just on the process but on the emotional journey that’s part of any sale. They helped us secure a buyer who’s a perfect fit for our business and negotiated a deal that supports both our team and our buyers. At times, Lucy acted as chief motivator, cheerleader, and even counsellor when we needed it most.”
