Challenges & Goals of Selling the Estate Agency
Crucible Homes operated as a commercial subsidiary of South Yorkshire Housing Association, providing both sales and lettings services across Sheffield and Rotherham through two branches.
Following a wider organisational review, the business was identified as no longer aligning with the housing association’s long-term strategic objectives, particularly as it moved towards merging with another association.
The decision was therefore made to sell Crucible Homes. The priority was to ensure a structured and professional process, with a focus on securing a suitable buyer who could take on the portfolio and continue delivering services without disruption.
The process was led internally by Juliann Hall, Executive Director of Care, Health and Wellbeing, who acted as the main point of contact throughout the transaction.
